4:00pm sharp, every statue came alive.  Bubbles started to float everywhere.  Brass woodpeckers hitting tunes on the chimes, wooden puppet spinning around on the balcony… surprises could be found in every corner at the start of every hour, and the bubbly musical event lasted for almost 20 minutes.

A chance for the public to see the Shiroi Koibito cookie production line! Visitors can observe the production processes behind Shiroi Koibito cookies from the tour corridor on the third floor, including the stages of sandwiching chocolate between oven-fresh langue de chat cookies, cooling them, quality checking and packaging them individually.  At one point mum thought all of the workers were robots as well, because they were so concentrated in their work… until we saw someone was wiping and polishing the cookies machine~~!  IMG_1664IMG_1665We were so impressed with their high quality control and the super cleanliness in all aspects.  Our tour guide Kenro-san was laughing at our dropping jaw expression, he said:" With so many tourist eyes looking at them from this corridor above, no supervisor needed at all.  And herherthe workers could not even dig their nose or scratch their butt.”

At the end of the corridor was a Cookie craft studio, where visitors can make their own cookie shape and design.   However this activity required extra fee according to your chosen package.

IMG_1696IMG_1697That lady must be a master of sugar art.  The whole tray of handmade sugar flowers were duplicated easily in her hand.  However it looked so fine and complicated.  There were also many other sugar art displayed, especially the wedding cakes’ fine decoration were really impressive. Classical Toy Collection Room: A display of classical toys from the Meiji, Taisho and Showa periods (1868 窶錀 1989). The valuable tin toy series was a highlight in this room.

我们根本没有时间好好逛。如果自己来北海道旅行的话,一定要安排一整天只在“白色恋人”梦工厂的行程。好吃好玩好看的都尽在这里……饮恨没有更多时间,我一定要再来~!
5:30pm It was so hard to leave the dream chocolate factory, but we were being urged to move on to the next destination, Sapporo beer garden.  This was the place they used to have beer festival, but at the moment it was flower expo.
