Monday 4/2/2013 Class was set up right in the middle of this magnificent Eurhythmy Hall. We sat in a circle with a few other lecturers and administrators randomly between us. A vase of pink daisies and a fat yellow candle with yellow silky fabric laid on the floor at the center of the circle. There were 6 of us as international students, I was the only one from Malaysia, Sunny from Taiwan, Diana Columbia, Aaron USA, Elle UK and Kieva Ireland. We spent the whole morning sharing our stories and connection on how did we ended up here together. Lynn was a lecturer spoke so slowly and clearly about the birth and growth of Rudolf Steiner.
The school was surrounded by trees and trees. I love the stretched of glass windows at the hallway outside the Eurhythmy hall.
Tuesday 5/2/2013 We went to the other cozy little room beside sculpting and painting classroom. Lynn who talked very slow and patiently introduced the culture in Australia by singing and understanding the song of “Waltzing Matilda”. Later, we shared our own experiences and feelings as we first set foot in this vast land of southern atmosphere.
After morning tea, Anne (international student administrator) brought us all around the Steiner School. We walked through the basketball courts and playground. It was amazing to see classes of little children sitting quietly and paid full attention at the teacher singing a story soft and vividly. There was a pair of peacock in the school farm, one was full white and the other one was full of colour. I did not have my camera ready so I could not capture the peacock “moment”.
12noon I thought I could just pop back home from here, but we headed back to Steiner Seminar to watch a video “Life of Steiner Part 1”… for 1 hour 30minutes long…
