It was a perfect timing that Pam kept saying when she first met me at the airport. She told me that as she walked in the airport arrival hall for only 2 minutes, not knowing me, just based on her instinct she caught sight of me and thought that I should be the one that she was looking for. She held up the sign “Steiner Seminar Waldorf” for 1 second, as I was pushing my cart along the waiting crowd, the sign caught my attention. She was an 70 year-old lady who was also a voluntary for the Rudolf Steiner Seminar. She told me she was part of the committee when the Waldorf Seminar started in Melbourne ever since, and she cared for it so much, that made her always there to set the room ready for the people who came for the course.
She told me that Melbourne was so dry and hot for the past whole week until the day I came, 31st January 2013, where the rain start pouring heavily all the way when she was driving to the airport. It was an hour journey to Dianne house, where I rented for my days to come. Dianne invited Pam for tea and we stayed an hour chatting away their bits an pieces of their own stories. 11pm finally i get to rest, and I really appreciate the effort of Dianne making the room so cozy and sweet. There were handmade soap and towel set up beside my bed, pillows and thick comforter, big wadrobe, glass book shelf , wide study table and chair.
It took me 2 hours to unpack my compacted luggage… still unpacking now…
I only get myself rested at 2am.
1/2/2013 11am woke up with a bright morning sun shone through the blinds the of drop floor window beside the glass shelf by the bed. Dianne went out for a meeting so I took a stroll myself around the house. It was a pin drop silent place…
Bathroom…… Kitchen……
Living and Dining room area…… Left side of the picture below is the hall way to 2 rooms, toilet, bathroom and laundry room
Wide sliding doors beside the dining table leads to a deck. She did not keep much plants around her area. Those are the neighbours’ trees.
The house is actually located behind another larger house unit. So Dianne house is surrounded by houses and only a single car path way enter through the front house then only we could find her house hidden quietly in the middle of the neighbourhood.
Will update more of my life in Melbourne soon.
